I’ve been computing. If these hugs carry on, and if it’s true that one hug drags out your life by five minutes, then that makes me… well… quite close to being immortal. 


Things have changed. I miss my high school friends miserably. But I truly, greatly enjoy my new friends just as well. But I am still afraid to get too comfortable on the shoulders of those who have an exodus plotted in their minds. I guess I should have left this little damage in the darkest part of my high school locker, considering that I took a course in Fine arts, where leaving is as mundane a topic as oil price hikes and boy bands. Only by a hair's breadth do they know how much I find those words insufferable, the way every single word clashes into my insides, making a concoction of Gama guts and red hot disgust.

That’s one of my two greatest fears…  (the other one… I would like to conceal for the intervening time)
And if I’m going to feel like this, I think I ought to stay away from the immortality hugs, for the reason that perpetuity will be beyond what the cynical fraction of my vocabulary can ever illustrate.

You're afraid they will leave you behind? This might sound a little crude, but you'll have to get to terms with it. It's their choice to seek happiness from. Normally though, it's a usual thing to hear from people your age (I, myself, thought I would be able to travel the world at age 16) but it usually turn out otherwise.
But know, that even if most of them should leave, you are not left alone without any friends.
